What you'll actually have to find
(01) The heat pump stream
Home Energy Scotland offers up to £7,500 as a grant towards a heat pump, plus up to £7,500 more as an optional interest-free loan. Rural and island homes can claim an extra £1,500.
(02) The stream most people miss
Insulation has its own separate funding.
Energy efficiency measures draw on a different grant — up to 75% of the cost of the measures, capped at £7,500, again with the rural uplift.
(03) Why the order matters
That second stream is the one most people don't know about, and it's why our order of work matters. A project that improves the fabric and installs a heat pump can draw on both. In practice that often means a bigger, better project leaves you finding less cash than a heat-pump-only install would.
We'll model your actual numbers in the Heat Plan, before you commit to anything.
