Hearth Energy is the heat pump and efficient heating specialist in for Edinburgh and surrounding areas, including the Lothians, the Borders, the Central Belt, and Fife.

As an MCS-certified company, we enable our customers to access government funding – grants and interest-free loans – to upgrade their homes to clean, cheap to run heating.

We can apply our expertise for high-quality heat pump installations to the design and installation of complex plumbing projects.

Robin Leonard

I founded Hearth Energy after becoming a parent. My motivation was twofold: to help people reduce their energy bills and to ensure a better future for my son.

Qualifications

I’m a certified Heat Geek Master and hold a level 2 diploma in plumbing from City and Guilds, a level 3 in unvented cylinders, the design and installation of heat pumps, and water regulations. I also have BA Hons in Architecture from Sheffield University.

Background

My professional background spans architectural, interaction, and graphic design. The principles I developed in these fields—respect for space, aesthetic appeal, and functional excellence—are deeply ingrained in our plumbing and heating practices. Our work aims to enhance the home environment, by ensuring our work is neat and tidy, easy to maintain, and cheap to run.
